Bholu 4
Completed February 2009
Bholu 4 was renovated on an existing building to create a long and deep room, which is cool and well ventilated. The long space can accommodate a large number of children and its considerable size means it is also used as a community centre in the afternoons.
At the front of the site is an enclosed toilet block and the all-important wash area. The front façade of this Bholu has been painted with flowers and landscape scenes to add colour and vibrancy to the street. The older children from the neighbourhood like to peep through the decorative front gate and join in the singing of the class.
The teachers of this school are particularly vibrant local woman who make good use of the large space with games and physical activities.
