Dental Clinic

This project was inspired by the work of one particular AWF volunteer Sam Russell and an Australian dentist Ashrita Mahen, who came together to create this fantastic facility for the community for dental health care and education. The clinic is located in one room of the existing Tekra Community Centre, an incredible facility built around a central courtyard and used for all manner of classes, tuition, karate classes and cultural programs. Volunteers sourced the equipment and painted animal murals to decorate the otherwise bare walls. The clinic is staffed by rotating volunteers from the local dental hospital.
