Living Edge ( one of our sponsors for Bholu 8) has chosen to fund Bholu 8 instead of gifts this year.
THANK YOU!

We are most grateful for the wonderful people who appear out the woodwork to give us a helping hand to continue to support the Angwanwadi Project. As our funds were starting to run low, some very generous people and business' came to rescue to make Season 2 possible. NB* (A big thank you to the private donations who did not want to be mentioned, you know who you are)
Here is a little more about them:
A big thanks to all the supporters, members and visitors who reached deep into their pockets and pulled out their loose change and dropped it in the donation bucket at the Sydney Architecture Festival.
We are so thrilled at how many people gave to our project and how it all added up. THANKYOU!!

Total Balance Group was founded in early 2002 by Kate James. Kate's vision was to create a boutique coaching and training organisation, offering a range of programs that specifically help people to achieve their objectives while finding fulfillment in both their personal and professional lives. Total Balance now has a team of associates who provide face to face coaching in Melbourne and Sydney.
Kate generously donated to The Anganwandi Project in 2009 and the funds are being used for the start of Bholu 8 which will been seen as a prototype for ongoing construction and design for future anganwadis. Bholu 8 has a lot more detail of the architectural details of sustainable techniques to decrease heat, increase airflow and recycling of rain water. Thank you Kate and all at Total Balance, for your support in our project.
Due to the GFC, many of the schools are without sponsorship this year. For only $360 AUD, you can support 50+ children with a nutritious meal per day, teachers and care takers wages and all running costs for the school for one year. A big thank you to one business LemonSoup who have kindly sponsored their school again for a second year. As you can see from the pics below, the kids and teacher are most grateful!

We would like to thank the following people for their funding and assistance.

Everyone else!
Thank you to all the many people who have donated directly to our Volunteers, Bholu and Manav Sadhna, you know who you are. Without your continued support, this project would not be possible.
Adele Winterage, Renae Tapley and Fahmi Ahmad-Yussof from Team 2 who were volunteering in India Jan - Feb 2009 managed to do some creative fundraising before they left and raised enough funds to build Bholu 7.
Adele held a movie night in Sydney for the showing of " Slum Dog Millionaire" and Renae and Fahmi held one in Perth. Together they raised a total of $2500 AUD. Great effort indeed!
Thank you to all the people who were a part of building Bholu 7.
Our funding supporters range from principal sponsors like City Of Melbourne , along with small companies, including Lemonsoup, Arena Films and individuals who have generously sponsored anganwadis for the year, right down to grass roots level of our youngest sponsors, 10 year old school children making bookmarks to sell at their school to raise money for the Anganwadi Project.
Every cent counts, no matter how small, and we certainly make the ruppee stretch a very long way with the building philosophy of reuse, recycle and reduce.

In July 2007, Jodie Fried from Bholu collectedsome beautiful drawings by the kids in Bholu School # 1 to exhibit and auction, along with stunning photographs by Greig Fraser.
Our venue was generously donated by Illium Tonsor, the food by , Auctioneering by Gayle Walker and many more wonderful support on the night by individuals bidding on the artwork. We raised $16,000 AUD which was a tremendous effort for one night.
Here are some highlights from the evening.
